According to the press service of KMG, 1,057 thousand tons of Kazakhstani oil were shipped from Aktau port in 2023
On March 9, KazMunayGas chairman Magzum Mirzagaliyev held a meeting with Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, SOCAR, as part of his visit to Baku, Kazinform reports.
The sides discussed the gradual increase in the volume of transit of Kazakhstani oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and the transport of Kazakhstani oil via the Baku-Supsa pipeline.
For KazMunayGas, SOCAR is a key strategic partner. We’re convinced that the gradual rise in the volume of Kazakhstani oil’s transit will give a new impetus to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation, said Mirzagaliyev.
Since last year, Kazakhstani oil has been transporting via the Aktau-Baku-Ceyhan route as part of the agreement aimed at transiting oil from Kazakhstan in the amount of 1.5 million tons through the territory of Azerbaijan.
According to the press service of KMG, 1,057 thousand tons of Kazakhstani oil were shipped from Aktau port in 2023, and 232 thousand tons in January-February this year.
