26 flue cases have been confirmed in the region, with 90% of these cases located in the regional center
The East Kazakhstan region is currently experiencing an increase in the prevalence of acute respiratory infections and influenza, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Since the onset of the epidemic season, the region has recorded 154,028 cases of acute respiratory infections.
According to the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of East Kazakhstan region, the morbidity rate has increased by 2.56% compared to last year.
“More than half of all cases (81,237) were recorded in Oskemen, which is 53% of the total number. High rates are also noted in Glubokoye district and Altai town. At the same time, the smallest number of cases was detected in Markakol district,” the department stated.
