At the initiative of the UK side, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu had a telephone conversation with David Cameron, the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, learnt from press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Ministry.
During the call, the two sides discussed strengthening political, trade, and economic ties, as well as cooperation within the multilateral institutions.
Minister Nurtleu confirmed Kazakhstan's commitment to enhancement of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom and invited Secretary Cameron to visit Astana.
The parties emphasized that the signing of the Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Agreement in the near future will elevate bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
The Kazakh Foreign Minister highlighted that the extensive political and economic reforms implemented by the President of Kazakhstan create a new prospects for expanding relations between the two states.
The ministers also exchanged views on topical international issues and discussed further plans for bilateral cooperation.
