Deputy Prime Minister Kanat BOZUMBAYEV chaired a meeting of the Project Office on Alatau City Development and met local entrepreneurs, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the government's press service.

According to the government, large-scale investment projects are set to be implemented in the city, with preliminary agreements reached on their location, taking into account engineering structures and protective zones. Local authorities are considering the issue of updating the city’s master plan in accordance with sanitary zones, rational use of industrial sites, and environmental impact. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister held a meeting with business representatives and project institutes, to discuss the amendments to the city’s Master Plan.
“The construction of the new Alatau city must be convenient, safe, technologically advanced, and environmentally clean. Alatau can become a model of a modern urban center. We need to ensure that the city is built based on international standards. I am setting a task to review a number of investment projects within a month to determine their placement within the city, in line with previously concluded agreements with investors. All relevant ministries should accelerate the process and make adjustments to the Master Plan by May,” said Kanat Bozumbayev.
The meeting of the Project Office was held in Alatau with the participation of deputy ministers of national economy, justice, agriculture, transport, construction and infrastructure, labor and social protection.
This year, 40 people who are on the waiting list for housing in Alatau city will receive keys to new apartments.
As previously reported, the Alatau city budget for 2025 was approved at 4.4 billion tenge.
