A collection of Kazakh folk tales in the Czech language was presented in Prague. The event was attended by the representatives of the ministries of culture and education of the Czech Republic, academic and cultural communities, Kazakh diaspora, students as well as children – pupils of a local elementary school, Kazinform reports.
The book entitled as “The Tales of the Kazakh Steppe” includes popular tales about Er Tostik, Aldar Kose, Zhalmauyz-Kempir, which hold a special place in the Kazakh folklore.
The illustrations were created by young Kazakh artist Anelia Bekbas, graduate of the Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts and the College of Art in Bechyně, the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in Prague says.
